We offer courses leading to Cambridge CELTA (Certificate in Teaching English Speakers of Other Languages), as well as a number of professional development courses for practicing teachers from all parts of the world who want to improve their language skills and teaching methodology.

Teachers of English Course (TEC)

TEC is a teacher training course for English teachers who do not know the first language, who want to expand or update their professional knowledge and teaching methodology and improve their language skills.

During the course, participants explore specific aspects of teaching methodologies and techniques, and use and evaluate the scope of teaching aids and resources. At the end of the course, everyone receives the "English teacher" certificate.

Class management and practical teaching skills
Lesson planning
Teaching aids and resources
Observation of experienced teachers

TEC courses are very flexible and can be adapted to the specific needs of participants. We can also design customized TEC courses for "closed groups" of teachers traveling at any time of the year.

To take the course, the level of English for participants should be at least B2 in the European Language Description System (CEFR).

Teaching Knowledge Test (TKT)

Cambridge TKT (Teaching Knowledge Test) to kwalifikacja dla nauczycieli języka angielskiego. Kurs przygotowuje nauczycieli do egzaminów TKT, których celem jest zwiększenie ich pewności siebie i zwiększenie szans na zatrudnienie: koncentruje się na podstawowej wiedzy nauczycielskiej potrzebnej nauczycielom dzieci ze szkół podstawowych i średnich lub dorosłych uczących się w dowolnym miejscu na świecie.

TKT jest skierowany przede wszystkim do nauczycieli, dla których angielski nie jest pierwszym językiem. Można go wziąć na dowolnym etapie ich kariery i może być również przydatny dla osób, które myślą o zostaniu nauczycielami. Poziom angielskiego kandydata powinien wynosić co najmniej B1 w europejskim systemie opisu kształcenia językowego (CEFR). Jest to równoważne z IELTS 4.0 do 5.0.
Kurs przygotowawczy TKT jest dostępny w Brighton.

Kwalifikacja TKT składa się z trzech modułów:

Module 1: Language and background to language learning and teaching
Module 2: Lesson planning and use of resources for language teaching
Module 3: Managing the teaching and learning process

Input sessions with trainers and directed self-study help the candidates to prepare for the tests. Assessment is by a written paper with multiple choice questions and St Giles Brighton is a TKT exam centre.

As part of their course fee, all TKT candidates will be automatically entered for Module 1. They can choose the number of additional TKT modules for which they would like to sit the examination(s). Please note that the deadline for module registration is six weeks before the start of the course.
